Ethiopia declares three day-national mourning after fatal landslide By Aaron Maasho | ADDIS ABABA   Ethiopia has declared three days of national mourning for victims of a landslide at a rubbish landfill site in the capital Addis Ababa. Flags flew at half mast on Wednesday as the government announced that the death toll from the disaster that occurred at the 50-year-old Reppi dump on Saturday evening had risen to at least 72 people.   On Tuesday, at least 17 bodies were pulled out from the site and buried at the nearby Abune Aregawi Church, attended by hundreds of grief-stricken family members. Nigeria's Buhari chairs first cabinet meeting since coming back   BUHARI CHAIRS HIS FIRST MEETING  Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari chaired his first cabinet meeting on Wednesday since coming back from medical leave last week. Buhari has had no public appearances outside the presidential villa since coming back on Friday from London where he had been treated for seven weeks for an undisclosed illness. Buhari called for two ministers for Christian and Muslim prayers before the national anthem was played at the start of the closed-door meeting, the usual practice before reporters were asked to leave the room.

Nigeria: Four female suicide bombers kill 2, injure 16 in Maiduguri Four teenage girls have struck Nigeria’s northeastern town of Maiduguri in the Borno State Wednesday morning killing two people in a residential area. 16 people were injured in the bomb attack and are receiving treatment, according to the National Emergency Management Agency ( NEMA ). “Rescue and health workers had immediately moved to scene after the alert. The victims have been transported to the state specialist hospital and university teaching hospital in Maiduguri,” spokesperson of NEMA in the area, Abdulkadir Ibrahim confirmed to local media.
